Born on Beltane into a family with roots in several strong European folk healing traditions, Rayna has been a practicing witch for most of her life. She began communicating with the dead in childhood and after moving to Brooklyn in the late 1990’s began to take part in Misas Espirituales which gave context to her childhood experiences and shaped her divining practice. This path eventually led her to formal initiation as an Espiritista in 2010. Her creative work and spiritual work are in constant conversation with each other; the threads of each woven together to form a whole that exceeds the boundaries of either.
Her reading style is direct and practical; focused on identifying the spiritual and ancestral energies at work in your life and how best to work with them to navigate challenges and surmount problems.

Rayna is currently available for one-on-one mentorship with artists as well as consulting for scholarly research, academic & arts institutions, cultural organizations, and event planners.
Her style blends an intuitive approach with over two decades of professional experience in a variety of creative fields. This approach is informed by her academic work in cultural sustainability, as well as her experiences in community organizing, underground nightlife, and by her extensive knowledge of the art world and the music industry.

WORKSHOPS & Public Speaking
Rayna is available to facilitate workshops and give talks on spiritual approaches to creativity, music production, interdisciplinary and liberatory arts practice, community organizing, and nightlife curation (including expanded approaches to DJing).
Recent workshops have included sessions at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and Mutant Radio Tbilisi. Recent public speaking engagements include Pop Conference and the American Folklore Society annual meeting.
